Help to Buy Scheme enables self-employed mum to secure dream home!
Isabel Ballardie (41) and her son Theo (12) are settling into their new Kebbell home in Liphook after the Government-backed Help to Buy scheme made their dream of owning a new home become a reality.
The scheme came to Isabel’s aid when she fell in love with Kebbell Homes’ Orchard Farm development on Longmoor Road after attending an open day: “My brother and I attended the open day at Orchard Farm and I thought I would never be able to afford a property there but thanks to Help to Buy I could.”
Isabel, who is self-employed and works from home, continued: “Being self-employed, it had always been tough for me to secure a mortgage. I was put in touch with Kebbell’s financial adviser Kevin Parsons who really went to the end of the earth for me. The support from both Kevin and Kebbell’s sales adviser Katie was first class. They made the whole process so easy and were there for me every step of the way.”
Owner of an interior design company (www.isabelballardie.com), Isabel said: “It was also lovely walking into my new home and seeing colour on the walls that I usually recommend to my clients but that I could finally have for myself. The house is decorated to be very light and airy – it has a modern, spacious feel without being too contemporary. It’s very homely and the specification of each room is very well appointed.
“Everything has been finished beautifully as well; the overall standard of the house is so high. I couldn’t have asked for more. I love the underfloor heating too!
“The layout of the house is just perfect for Theo and I. For only a two bedroom house we never feel on top of each other and can take ourselves off to do our own thing.”
Isabel wanted to move to Kebbell’s Orchard Farm development in order to be close to Liphook’s Bohunt School which was named ‘Overall school of the year’ by the Times in 2014. She continued: “I rented nearby in Haslemere for 18 months to be close to the school. It’s now just a five minute walk away from where I live which is ideal for Theo and I.
“All in all – I genuinely would thoroughly recommend Kebbell Homes to my friends and family. I’ve never been through the home buying process by myself before, and I don’t regret it for a second. It’s been so easy and I absolutely love my new Kebbell home.”
Andrea Fawell, Sales and Marketing Manager at Kebbell Homes said: “We’re delighted that Isabel and Theo are enjoying their new home.
“Orchard Farm is now fully sold but for those looking to move to a brand new home in Hampshire this year, Sundew Place at Four Marks is about to be launched for sale with a beautiful new show home to visit on New Year’s Day! There is a range of twelve 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes to choose from and the Help to Buy scheme that assisted Isabel Ballardie is available here too, on houses up to £600,000″.
And the same level of customer care awaits! Katie Weston, the Sales Representative, will be on hand on New Years Day to welcome visitors to her brand new show home – so why not call in and enjoy a glass of a bubbly and a mince pie to celebrate the arrival of 2017!
