We sat down with Craig over a coffee to welcome him to the team and he kindly answered some hard hitting questions for our meet the team segment - here is what he had to say.
Welcome Craig, we look forward to working with you!
Which part of the construction process do you most enjoy and why?
I enjoy all aspects of the construction process from the pre-planning right up to the moment the house/development has been completed. If I had to choose the part I most enjoy though it would be when groundworks commences and you start to see what has up until that point only been on a drawing or CGI which I think is quite exciting!
Given the wide variety of Kebbell developments which is your favourite and why?
This is a difficult one as I think all the Developments are unique and fitting to the areas where they have been/are being developed. Cholbury Place is a fantastic Development with 18 luxurious Apartments set within beautiful surroundings – the fact you can’t really see it from the road also adds to the feeling of seclusion. Inside, the apartments are well thought out, spacious and extremely luxurious with a fantastic specification, the highlight for me being the kitchen and living/family areas.
What excites you the most about working as part of the Kebbell team?
Having the opportunity to grow the construction team and build on its already strong foundations (excuse the pun!) for future developments – all of which come with their challenges but all with great reward. I’m excited to be part of the team and have been welcomed so warmly.
Do you have a favourite apartment at our luxury Cholbury Place, Ascot development and why?
I am drawn to Plot 8 – I like the layout of the Plot, in particular the kitchen and family area – it benefits from lots of natural light and just flows nicely in my mind.
What does Craig love doing when not at work?
I enjoy spending time with my family, walking, cycling (not serious Tour De France type, think more family bike rides!). I’ve always had an interest in cars, enjoy going to car auctions every now and again and am an avid Formula 1 fan. I enjoy watching major sporting events - Rugby and Football world Cups/Euros/6 Nations and so on and sometimes play the odd bit of golf although I find it a very lonely sport (I tend to only see people at Tee Off and again on the Green which should give you an idea of just how good I’m not!)
"My father, who up until recently had been a Construction Director for 30+ years, worked all his life in construction and he spent most of my childhood telling me to never get into it! However, as a young adult we would work on my dad’s sites during the school holidays and I always enjoyed the work and atmosphere. Move on to my early twenties and my dad asked if I would be interested in helping him on one of his sites as an Assistant Site Manager – his logic being that my Management Style was so different to what he had on his sites at the time that it might be a great opportunity. 20 years on and I’ve still not looked back."
