Q1 Kebbell has loved working with Minoli Tiles for decades, finding your tiles always beautiful and inspiring and your service second to none. How do you remain contemporary and such a pleasure to work with?
It is a pleasure to work with you and the team at Kebbell too. We are fortunate to have developed relationships with top-tier production plants in Italy meaning that at Minoli we always have the very latest tile designs and technology. I am delighted to hear that you think we are a pleasure to work with. We always want to stay true to our key principles - quality products, plentiful stocks, reliable delivery and high service standards.
Q2 Talking as one family company to another, what is the best thing about working with your father?
I think I have almost certainly benefitted greatly from quite literally growing up in and around Minoli, school runs with my dad taking work calls, spending most Saturday’s during my formative years in the Showroom, and helping with the events since I was as young as 12, you can’t help but learn. Now we are able to grow and build the business together, alongside my younger brother Luca who has recently joined the company as well.
Q3 What inspired your recent ‘How to be heard and communicate’ event, with guest speaker Samantha Day, which was so enjoyed by all your female guests?
I was inspired by two ladies who are well established in the industry that were kind enough to meet me for a coffee. Stories were shared of their journeys and of how they have moved up in the industry, especially how they managed overcome almost anything that stood in their way. I left those coffee meetings feeling inspired and wanting to create a similar open forum or space, where we could get more women together to share their own stories.
Q4 In the male dominated construction industry why are women so valuable?
Women are incredibility valuable in the industry, they can offer the same qualifications, ideas and innovation as their male counterparts. Everybody is valuable, but we need to continue to push so women are offered the opportunities to develop and succeed in the construction industry.
Q5 What fun fact about Lucy Minoli would surprise and delight the company’s loyal customers and followers?
I initially started my career as a Paralegal in a Litigation and Recoveries Department. I found that the law firm working environment perhaps wasn’t quite right for me. I am much happier being based in the showroom or going out to see clients!
