Kebbell Homes – Our energy efficient homes make savings on energy bills
The House Builders Federation (HBF), the body representing housebuilders in the UK, regularly report on the energy efficiency of newly built homes comparing new and existing properties.
Our homes are designed to be significantly more environmentally friendly than older properties. On average, a new build home from emits just 1.22 tonnes of carbon per year—that's 65% less than the average older property, which emits 3.51 tonnes annually. This substantial reduction plays a vital role in supporting the country's carbon reduction targets.
We are proud that 86% of our new build homes achieve an A or B Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating—compared to less than 5% of existing older properties. This means that Kebbell Homes are built to maximize energy efficiency, ensuring our homeowners benefit from lower energy consumption, more comfortable living spaces, and a positive impact on the environment.
Not only are our homes good for the planet, but they are also great for your wallet. The average new build home can save homeowners up to £130 per month on their energy bills, which amounts to over £1,980 a year. For houses specifically, these savings can rise to £165 per month, delivering even greater financial benefits. These savings come from advanced energy-efficient systems, better insulation, and the latest in sustainable building technologies.
