Now that many of us have discovered that working from home is possible on at least a semi-permanent basis, proximity to the big urban centres is not quite so important.
Scarborough has been listed as one of the four most affordable towns on the coast in which to live and is the location of our Cornelian Fields development. The fourth phase of building has recently begun which will offer additional 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes to the Middle Deepdale community. The houses are beautiful, with Shaker style kitchens, underfloor heating, open plan family spaces, fitted wardrobes and luxurious bathrooms – not to mention ultra fast broadband to run your home office.
Cornelian Fields is in a fantastic location too, perfect for making the most of coastal life. It’s walking distance from a number of beaches, so you can dip your toes in the sand or enjoy bracing walks along the clifftops and rugged bays, following the Cleveland Way along the North Yorkshire coast. Many other traditional seaside pursuits are on offer too. The kids will love rockpooling, riding the North Bay Railway or splashing about in the pools and flumes of Alpamare Waterpark.
Peasholme Park is another Scarborough stalwart, located in North Bay and old-fashioned in the best way, offering the kind of attractions that produce a nostalgic glow: pitch & putt, a bandstand, colourful pagodas and a boating lake. You’ll want an ice-cream whatever the weather.
For those of an adventurous nature, Scarborough has sea fishing, surfing and sailing, or bird-watching on wild and windy Flamborough Head. Golfers can tee off at South Cliff Golf Club, with the sea as a backdrop.
And if you really can’t bear to leave home without your laptop or tablet, you’ll be pleased to know that Scarborough was the first town in the UK to install free wi-fi on the seafront and harbour, with one of Europe’s fastest internet connections.
So if you’re hankering for life on the coast, why not take a look at Cornelian Fields? 3 & 4 bedroom homes are still available at Phase 4.
A new way of life could be waiting to be discovered!
