Kebbell Homes marks milestone at Scarborough new homes development

Kebbell Homes is celebrating after welcoming the 200th resident to Middle Deepdale, Scarborough. The Middle Deepdale and Eastfield Regeneration project from Kebbell Homes and Keepmoat, under the joint venture partnership K2 Regeneration will bring 1,350 new homes to 44 acres of land at Middle Deepdale, located to the south of Scarborough, over the next 10 to 15 years.

The luxury housebuilder awarded the landmark couple, Pauline and Michael Caulfield (68, 71), with gift vouchers, flowers and champagne to mark this milestone occasion.

Cornelian Fields is a collection of aspirational three and four bedroom family homes where impressive design and a superior specification come as standard.

Michael said: “We are absolutely delighted to move onto this fantastic development.

“Our whole house moving process has been a breeze thanks to the fantastic team at Kebbell Homes. We really couldn’t have asked for more. We were looked after every stage of the way and they made it so easy.”

Originally on the hunt for an older property with the aim of renovating it, the retired couple were persuaded by the style and sophistication of their brand new Kebbell home. Michael said: “We were never setting out to buy a new home, but we drove past the development in Middle Deepdale one day and we haven’t looked back since.

“We quickly learnt that buying a new build doesn’t mean compromising on personalisation or style – especially not with Kebbell Homes. We’ve been able to adapt and personalise our home to suit us at a much more cost effective price than it would have been had we opted for a renovation project.

“Our new home is very energy efficient too. The insulation is brilliant which really makes a difference as we plough on into the colder seasons!”

The couple bought a three bedroom Embleton style home after downsizing from a four bedroom home in County Mayo, West Ireland in order to be close to their two daughters, Lorna and Claire who both live in York. Michael continued:

“We are so well connected here at Cornelian Fields. We’re very close to the train station which makes seeing our daughters very easy. It’s lovely to be so close to them once again!

“The amenities and local community here are great as well. Scarborough has an abundance of shops, restaurants, theatres, beaches – it has everything you could possibly want. It’s also very well connected to larger towns and cities, so we like to travel quite a lot which is easy here at Cornelian Fields.”

Homebuyers at Cornelian Fields can enjoy the benefits of the charming seaside town of Scarborough. Complete with award winning beaches on your doorstep, you can explore the harbour and relish living so close to cultural delights such as Scarborough Castle and the resting place of internationally acclaimed author and poet Anne Brontë.

Linda Tillisch, Sales Manager at Kebbell Homes, said: “We are delighted to welcome Pauline and Michael to Cornelian Fields and it is very special to mark this occasion as they join so many residents in this vibrant new community.

“Seeing hundreds of happy families moving into their dream home at Cornelian Fields really makes what we do so worthwhile. It’s fantastic to help and assist the home moving process in any way we can and we’re so pleased Mr and Mrs Caulfield are settling in well to their new home.”

With prices starting from £187,500, just a handful of homes remain for sale on the current phase.
